Tamas Nadas

Tamas Nadas was born in Budapest, Hungary. He began martial arts at age 3, and was introduced to Goju-Ryu Karate at the age of 9 where he trained under Sensei Laszlo Harsanyi. He started competing when he was 12 years old and never stopped ever since. At age 14, Tamas won his firs National Championship title in both Kata and Kumite. He was also given the most successful competitor’s award, and this was the beginning of a long rewarding carreer. In 1995, Tamas made the WKF Hungarian national team. Since then, Tamas has gone on to winning gold and silver medals at European and World Championships. His mother and father were Tamas’ biggest supporters, and they did everything for Tamas to succeed. He moved to the United States of America in 2000, and because of his achievements, Tamas obtained the permanent residency status (green card) and later became a US citizen. Tamas’ last achievements were becoming a USKA World Champion in kata and team kumite as Sensei Randall Sanders’ student. He is also a police officer in New Mexico and received the “Major’s Public Safety Award for a Hero.”
